I absolutely REFUSE to buy brand new kids clothes. (Except on random, special occasions.)
Why? Because their clothes end up covered in stains with holes in the knees.
Saturday morning, I set out with some cash intending to visit one garage sale (that had advertised lots of girls clothing) and Once Upon a Child (they were having a 90% off clearance items sale). My mission was to find some bigger clothes for our oldest to grow into...otherwise she's going to be naked when fall comes.
Did I succeed?
Yes, I did!
I spent about $87 (more than I have EVER spent in one day on kids clothes).
But, I walked away with 48 pieces of clothing, 1 pair of dress shoes, 2 pairs of boots, and a baby doll for our youngest. All of these items were in great condition and some were even BRAND NEW with tags including both pairs of boots, a winter coat that was originally $50, and some dresses, tops, and bottoms!!!
Do the math. I only paid $1.67 per item!!!
This is WHY I don't pay full price. I got perfectly good clothes including many brand new things and spent just $1.67 per item!
